The Irish Open Matchplay is now underway, with the Grand Finals scheduled for the O'Meara course in Carton House in October .The Grand Finals will be a televised event, and broadcast on Setanta Ireland. Entries to this years event are now CLOSED.
What is the format for the Irish Open Matchplay ?
Entries are taken from all 32 Counties, where you will do battle throughout the Summer months until eventually one Individual / Pair are left standing and declared County Champion/Champions.
You can do battle in the Singles event, or share the pressure, and test your mettle in the Fourball event
County Champions progress to the Grand Finals, hosted this year in the palatial Carton House .
The format for the Grand Finals should really get you going. Three days of cut throat competition,which will be Televised until only one man and one team is left standing and Crowned Irish Open MatchPlay Champion/Champions.
Prizes will be awarded to County Champions, and for the overall winners. Prize fund in excess of 13,000 euro
